"Woody in training for his next flyball competition"

fun swim again

Aquapaws Hydrotherapy is home to some of the countries best and fastest canine sporting talents, providing an essential cardio-vascular workout during the off season months. We have clients who compete up and down the country in sports such as fly ball and Agility.

Just a half hour swim is the equivilent to a non stop two and a half hour walk, and in the muddy months you can understand why this style of fitness training is becoming more and more popular.

"Morse - our youngest ever swimmer"

fun swim

The first year of a dog's life is without doubt the most important year of it's life. Ensuring the correct training, the right eating habits, the right toilet habits and of course - an increased socialising routine.

What tens to goes unnoticed are those growing limbs and underdeveloped joints. Hydrotherapy is the perfect alternative to repetitive exercise.

Due to the pool being non-weight bearing, there is no pressure or force being put through the joints and the swimming will result in an increased muscle growth which will support and maintain the growth of your puppy.

Our clients say it best
  • I would just love to say that we was a bit worried when we got told our 8 week old puppy had got hip dysplasia. We was heart broken. We are trying our best to work round our moo moo. We was told at the vet that there was somewhere that our moo moo could build up her muscles and that place was AQUAVET this place is amazing I would definitely recommend the staff there, they are absolutely brill and so polite. I have bipolar and sometimes I dont like change and I can panic, but when I walked through that door it was the best thing I did.

Our moo moo knows her workers now and she has had her second visit. She has been made to feel so comfortable at Aquavet . And we really love going our moo moo is my mental health dog and we are getting each other through the difficult challenges ahead. I just wanna say a big thankyou to the staff at Aquavet. Your doing a brilliant job and molly moo and me will see u soon god bless. –Sally Wright

  • After losing my 9 year old old English sheepdog this week to cancer I felt appropriate that I thank the wonderful staff at Aquavet for their care and expertise.

I decided to take Missie to Aquavet after a referral from her vets after trying to maintain the pain in her arthritis. This is a condition that missie has endured even through her young years due to unnecessary docking.

We had a session every fortnight for 3 years. The improvement was steady but certainly noticed ! Missie was not a confident dog in water but soon got to know and like the staff and dare I say even got to like her visits !

The staff made our trips good fun , informative and run perfectly ! I would 100% recommend the treatment and Aquavet.

Thank you Aquavet. Will miss our sessions.
